Magnificent magnesium


Magnesium—either consumed as part of your diet or as a dietary supplement—is essential to your health and well-being. Homeopathic Magnesium salts can also help the treatment of various conditions.

Magnesium plays multiple roles in maintaining your health. It

Magnesium is plentiful in almonds, baked potatoes, beans, broccoli, brown rice, cashews, dairy products, halibut, leafy greens, legumes, fortified oatmeal, peanut butter, spinach, squash, tofu, and whole grains. The Recommended Dietary Allowance is 310-320 mg per day for women and 400-420 mg per day for men. You should not exceed 350 mg of magnesium per day in dietary supplement form because of magnesium’s laxative properties and its effect on other medications and supplements including antibiotics, blood pressure medication, calcium, muscle relaxants, and Vitamin D.

Your risk of magnesium deficiency increases with
• Age and female gender
• Exclusively choosing coffee and/or soda as your beverages of choice
• Excessive alcohol consumption
• Too much salt in your diet
• Prolonged stress
• Sweating, especially when not properly re-hydrating
• Heavy menstrual periods
